This beautiful jar was produced in the early 1900s in Canada; in fact, Gem Mouth Jars were only ever manufactured in Canada.
Canadian Jewel jars are MUCH more rare than their Improved Gem Jar counterparts.
Totally functional, you can use these jars for airtight food storage in the fridge, freezer, on the go using anygem mouth jar lid (glass or metal), or as a gorgeous addition to any jar collection.
The jar is smooth, aside from the beautiful script logo.
All jars are guaranteed to be free of cracks and rust, though vintage jars can have very slight "flea bites" in the rim or other small cosmetic chips that do not affect the performance of the jar.
